The least we need, for the job you asked for, and nothing after that.
The short version
We take the least information that will let us do the job you asked for, we use it only for that job, and we do not keep it afterwards.
We do not sell it. We do not share it so somebody else can market to you. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not use it to train anything.
What we take, and only when you ask for something
For a contractor attending a vehicle: your name, a contact number, and where the car is. We cannot reach the car without knowing where it is — that is the entire reason we ask.
For a shipped key: a delivery address, so the key arrives.
For entitlement: a technician looks at your identification and at a document tying you to the vehicle. That is a check performed at the vehicle — we look, we do not photograph it and we do not keep a copy.
If your car is not in the picker and you ask us to look into it: the make and model you type, and the one phone number or email address you give us to answer on. We use it to answer you about that key and nothing else.
Browsing this site: nothing. No account, no sign-up and no form is needed to read any page here.
What we never take
We do not ask for a date of birth, a social security number, an employer, an income, or anything about your household. None of it helps open a lock or cut a key.
We do not run advertising or analytics on this site, so there is no behavioral record of what you read here.
What we do with it
Reach you, do the work, and settle up. That is the whole list.
No marketing, no newsletters, no profiling, no automated decisions, and no sale or rent of anything to anybody. We do not share your details with a data broker, an advertiser, or a partner wanting to sell you something.
How long we keep it
Not after the job is closed, beyond the narrow window the law obliges us to hold a transaction record for tax and accounting.
There is no archive of past customers here waiting to be breached, because we do not build one.
Payments
Card details are handled by the payment processor, not by us. We never see or store a full card number.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it corrected, or ask for it deleted, and we will do it.
If you are in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas or any other state with its own privacy statute, those laws give you specific rights to access, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing. There is nothing to opt out of here because we do not sell or share, and we will honour the access, correction and deletion rights on request.
We will not treat you differently for exercising any of this.
Changes and contact
If this ever changes — if we add analytics, a booking system that keeps records, or anything else that collects more — this page changes first and says so plainly.
Questions about any of it go through the contact page.
Terms on this page
- Host business
- The shop the machine sits inside. The kiosk is available whenever that business is open, which is what sets its hours.
- Capture
- Recording a key's profile and cuts so the shop can reproduce it without you leaving the original behind.
- Self-service kiosk
- A machine inside a host business that sells car fobs, fob batteries and hide-a-key boxes on the spot and scans any other car key to ship. No appointment and no counter staff.
- On the spot
- Stocked products that drop out of the slot when you pay: push-to-start fobs for five top models, fob batteries and hide-a-key boxes.
