What we do, what you confirm when you ask for a key, and where responsibility sits.
What we do
Car keys only. A kiosk sells push-to-start fobs, fob batteries and hide-a-key boxes on the spot, and scans any other car key so it can be cut and shipped. Separately, a technician attends the vehicle for fob programming and car lockouts. We do not do home, office or building work.
We make keys. We are not a security consultancy and nothing here is advice about how secure your property is.
What you are confirming when you ask for a key
That you are entitled to have that key duplicated — it is yours, or the owner has authorized you.
We cannot verify that in every case and we rely on you being straight about it. For anything done in person, entitlement is checked in person: photo identification and something tying you to the vehicle.
What we refuse
Keys marked Do Not Duplicate, restricted or patented profiles, and master key systems. Keys belonging to schools, government buildings, hospitals, prisons and military sites. Safe deposit keys, always.
We do not make a key where entitlement is not established to the technician's satisfaction. A refusal on those grounds is final and is not a reflection on you.
Prices
Prices shown on this site and on kiosk screens are starting prices. A kiosk confirms the exact key and price on screen before you pay — if the blank differs, the price changes before payment, never after.
Mobile work is quoted on site before anything starts, once the technician has seen the key or the vehicle. You may decline at that point with nothing to pay.
Instant and shipped keys
Every key is labeled with how it is fulfilled before it is labeled with a price.
Shipping targets are targets, not guarantees. Once a parcel is with a carrier, the delivery date is the carrier's and delays there are outside our control.
Electronic keys
Transponder keys, remote head keys and fobs are supplied as parts. Pairing one to your vehicle is a separate step which may need dealer equipment, and is not included unless we say so at the time of purchase.
We do not promise that a key we supply will start a vehicle we have not seen.
Wear and pre-existing damage
We are responsible for our own work. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, for locks and hardware already worn or failing before we arrived, or for a lock that will not accept any key because the lock itself is at the end of its life.
Fit and function
A duplicate is only as good as the key it was copied from. A worn original produces a worn copy, and some heavily worn keys cannot be copied accurately at all.
If a key we supply does not work, tell us and we will put it right.
Cancellation
A shipped key can be canceled within 14 days as long as the work has not been fulfilled — fulfilled meaning cut and shipped. A product bought at a kiosk is handed over on the spot, so the confirm screen is the point where you cancel it.
Mobile work can be canceled before the technician starts.
Your information
We take the least we need to do the job, we use it for nothing else, we do not sell or share it, and we do not keep it once the job is done. The privacy page sets this out in full.
Terms on this page
- Host business
- The shop the machine sits inside. The kiosk is available whenever that business is open, which is what sets its hours.
- Capture
- Recording a key's profile and cuts so the shop can reproduce it without you leaving the original behind.
- Self-service kiosk
- A machine inside a host business that sells car fobs, fob batteries and hide-a-key boxes on the spot and scans any other car key to ship. No appointment and no counter staff.
- On the spot
- Stocked products that drop out of the slot when you pay: push-to-start fobs for five top models, fob batteries and hide-a-key boxes.
